House Rabbit Society is a U.S. nonprofit with a global reach. We have 10 chapters in the United States and Washington, DC, as well as in Canada, Italy, and Australia. Chapters are independent rabbit rescue organizations that partner closely with House Rabbit Society and pledge to follow our philosophy. HRS does not raise funds on their behalf.
An HRS chapter has a minimum of two HRS educators. Educators are a special category of volunteers who assist rabbits, shelters, and rabbit guardians locally and globally. However educators are not necessarily part of a chapter. They have extra training to assist rabbit guardians in better understanding their long-ear roommates and are located throughout the U.S. and in numerous other countries.
